Privacy Policy

Effective September 2, 2026

This policy explains what Equilibre LLC collects when you use Equilibre Trading Academy, why, how long it is kept, and what happens to it when you delete your account.

It describes what the Academy actually does. Where processing is handled by someone else — card payments, in particular — that is said plainly rather than glossed over.

1. Who is responsible

Equilibre LLC operates Equilibre Trading Academy and is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at contact@equilibrellc.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account and identity: the email address you sign up with, your display name, and your account status and roles.
  • Authentication: sign-in credentials handled by our authentication provider, session information, and — if you use Google sign-in — the account identifier Google returns. We never see your Google password.
  • Preferences: your language.
  • Learning: which lessons you have opened and completed, your course completions, and your assessment attempts and results.
  • Skill and progress information derived from the above.
  • Certificates: the certificates issued to you and their verification identifiers.
  • Payment metadata: what you bought, the amount, the currency, the time, and the identifiers Stripe returns for the transaction.
  • Manual payments, where enabled: the reference you supply, payer details, any note, and the proof-of-payment file you upload.
  • Referrals: your referral code, who introduced you or whom you introduced, commissions earned, ledger entries, and payout requests including the payment handle you give us.
  • Security and audit logs: records of administrative and security-relevant actions, including who performed them.
  • Technical information collected by our hosting and security infrastructure in the ordinary course of serving a website, such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, and request logs.
  • Support: what you tell us when you contact us.

3. Payments and Stripe

We receive the result: whether the payment succeeded, the amount, and the identifiers we need to tie it to your account and to our accounts. Stripe processes your payment information as its own controller under its own privacy policy.

If you pay by a manual method, the reference and proof you upload are held by us, because verifying them is how we confirm the payment.

Equilibre LLC does not receive or store your full card number, expiry date or security code. Card details are entered into Stripe and processed by Stripe.

4. Why we use it

  • To give you access to the Academy and to show you your own progress.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account and the platform secure.
  • To process and verify payments, and to grant access once payment is confirmed.
  • To issue certificates and to let a certificate be verified.
  • To operate the referral programme, including attribution, commissions and payouts.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and duplicate or manipulated referrals.
  • To answer you when you contact us.
  • To meet our accounting, tax, dispute-resolution and other legal obligations.
  • To understand faults and improve the Academy.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

We use service providers to run the Academy, and they process data on our behalf under contract: Supabase for the database, authentication and file storage; Stripe for payments; our hosting and content-delivery provider for serving the site.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to establish or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights and safety of users and of Equilibre LLC.

6. International processing

The Academy is available internationally and our providers operate infrastructure in more than one country, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in. Where the law requires a safeguard for such a transfer, we rely on our providers' contractual protections.

7. How long we keep it

Account, learning and certificate information is kept while your account exists. Payment, referral and audit records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, dispute and legal purposes, which is generally longer.

8. Deleting your account, and what survives it

You can delete your account permanently from Settings, and an administrator may also delete an eligible account. Deletion is immediate and we cannot reverse it.

Retained financial records are linked to a deletion record that holds a one-way hash of your email address rather than the address itself. This lets us answer an accounting or chargeback question without keeping your identity in those tables.

  • Deleted: your authentication account, your profile and roles, your language preference, your Academy access, your lesson progress, your course completions, your assessment attempts, your certificates, your referral code, and any proof-of-payment file you uploaded. A certificate belonging to a deleted account stops verifying publicly.
  • Retained and separated from you: payment records, referral attribution, commissions, the referral ledger and payout records. These are our financial books, and we retain them for accounting, tax, dispute and fraud-prevention purposes.
  • Retained with your identity removed: security and audit log entries, which keep the record of what happened while no longer naming who did it.

9. Security

We protect the Academy with access controls enforced in the database itself, so one account cannot read another's data; encrypted connections; card handling delegated to Stripe; and audit logging of administrative actions.

No online service can promise absolute security, and we do not. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data we will act on it and notify you where the law requires.

10. Your choices and your rights

You can see and change your account information in the Academy, change your language at any time, and delete your account yourself.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, or to receive a copy of it. To exercise them, write to contact@equilibrellc.com. We will respond as the applicable law requires, and we may need to verify your identity first.

Some rights have limits. Where we must keep a financial or audit record for accounting or legal reasons, we will keep it and separate it from your identity rather than delete it.

11. Children

The Academy is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at contact@equilibrellc.com and we will look into it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Academy changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.
